With a decade long personal practice in yoga asana, philosophy, and meditation I have a deep love and respect for all that this practice has done for me.
Rooted in experience my teaching style is gentle yet focused, engaging movement towards alignment in order to know, receive and integrate the full benefits of the poses. I bring in yogic philosophy to my classes to deepen the practice and experience of yoga, as well as elements from traditional Chinese medicine such as meridian pathways and organs and the emotions associated with them.
In class and one-to-one sessions attention is given to the breath; seeing it as a supportive companion. I believe that the utilization of the breath is what allows us to sustain and gradually find ease in challenging asanas, enabling us to experience the full benefits of the poses and ushering us into a deeper awareness of our bodies and greater presence.
